HESYS CONNECT / SITE DATA & DASHBOARDS

Your site data.
One connected view.

Bring machine data and monitoring readings into a shared picture of site performance. HESYS Connect is being developed to link mTBMs, HDD rigs, data loggers and site sensors with live project dashboards.

In development · Connections configured for each project · Equipment compatibility and update intervals confirmed during setup

01 / CONNECT THE SITE

From the machine.
From the ground.

The aim is to bring operational readings and monitoring information together, so engineers and site teams can follow progress, examine changes and keep the supporting data close to each decision.

The channels available depend on the equipment, logger and access to its data.

MICROTUNNELLING

mTBM data

Follow the drive with a dashboard built around the available machine channels.

  • Jacking force and advance rate
  • Cutterhead torque and rotation speed
  • Face or chamber pressure, where measured
  • Slurry flow and pressure readings
  • Time, chainage and operational events

DIRECTIONAL DRILLING

HDD rig data

Bring drilling records into a consistent view across pilot drilling, reaming and pullback.

  • Thrust and pullback force
  • Rotary torque and speed
  • Drilling-fluid flow and pressure
  • Drilled length and activity stage
  • Shift progress and recorded stoppages

SITE MONITORING

Loggers & sensors

Connect monitoring points with their locations, baseline readings and measurement history.

  • Crack-width monitoring
  • Tilt and displacement sensors
  • Groundwater and pressure readings
  • Vibration measurements
  • Water meters and environmental sensors

These are example data channels for the intended product scope, not a list of currently supported manufacturers or installed connections.

02 / SEE THE PATTERN

Live readings.
Useful context.

A useful dashboard shows more than the latest number. The intended Connect workspace combines current readings with time histories, units, operating stages and project thresholds.

Compare a shift with the previous shift, examine a change around an event, or review a selected period with the wider project team.

Current site picture

Latest readings by machine, sensor or site area, with the measurement time and connection status clearly visible. Delayed or missing readings should be distinguishable from current data.

Trends & comparisons

Review channels together over a chosen time period. Relate changes to progress, drilling stages and recorded site events, while retaining each source’s units and timestamps.

Review & reporting

Planned views include shift summaries, trend charts and exports for daily reporting. Project access is intended to give each team member the information relevant to their role.

03 / FOLLOW THE CHANGE

Keep monitoring
in the picture.

For a crack monitor, the useful story is the change from an agreed baseline, how that change develops over time, and whether it needs review against the project’s response plan.

The planned monitoring workflow links sensor identification, location, baseline, calibration information and readings, with project-defined thresholds and a record of follow-up actions.

  1. Establish the baselineIdentify the monitoring point, measurement direction, units, reference reading and installation date.
  2. Track the trendReview readings and changes over time, alongside data gaps, sensor checks and relevant site events.
  3. Review & respondUse agreed thresholds and assigned responsibilities to identify readings requiring attention and record the response.

04 / GETTING CONNECTED

Start with the data
you already have.

Tell us which machine or logger you use, the channels you want to see, and how the readings are made available. We can then define the connection approach and dashboard scope for your project.

  1. Identify the sourceEquipment make and model, logger details, sample files or available interface, data ownership and permission to connect.
  2. Agree the setupChannel names and units, timestamps, sampling intervals, site connectivity, baseline values and user access.
  3. Verify the readingsCompare displayed values with source records, check missing-data behaviour and confirm the agreed reporting and threshold workflow.

Connection options may include an available equipment interface, logger gateway or scheduled file import. “Live” update frequency depends on the source and site communications. Supported integrations, retention, exports and notification arrangements will be confirmed for each deployment.
